THE SUNDAY STORY COLLECTIVE MEMBERSHIP TERMS

These Membership Terms apply to membership of The Sunday Story Collective, operated by Sunday Story Co Ltd (“Sunday Story”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

The Sunday Story Collective is a curated professional membership and directory for wedding creatives and businesses. Membership is offered on a business-to-business basis and is intended for individuals and organisations joining in connection with their trade, profession or business.

By purchasing membership, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Membership Terms.

1. Membership

The Sunday Story Collective offers three membership tiers: Core, Feature and Editorial.

The benefits included within each tier are those displayed on the Sunday Story website at the time you purchase your membership.

Membership relates to the business named during the application or joining process and cannot be transferred to another business or individual without our prior written agreement.

2. Membership term

Membership is for a fixed term of 12 months.

Your 12-month membership period begins once your Collective profile has been created, finalised and approved by both you and Sunday Story.

Following confirmation of your membership, you’ll be invited to provide the information, imagery and other materials needed for us to create your Collective profile.

If the information or approval required from you is delayed, the start of your membership may also be delayed.

3. Membership fees and payment

Membership can be paid annually in one payment or, where offered, across 12 monthly instalments.

Monthly payments are instalments towards a fixed 12-month membership and do not create a month-to-month membership.

By choosing monthly payments, you agree to make all 12 instalments.

If a payment is unsuccessful or becomes overdue, we may contact you to arrange payment and may suspend membership benefits until any outstanding amount has been received.

All prices shown at the time of purchase are the prices applicable to your chosen membership.

4. Founding Membership

Founding Membership is available for a limited time to creatives invited to join The Sunday Story Collective during its founding period.

Founding Member pricing applies to your initial 12-month membership term.

Any renewal pricing will be communicated to you before the end of your membership. Sunday Story may change membership pricing in the future, but any change applicable to a renewal will be communicated before you choose whether to renew.

5. Renewal

Membership does not automatically renew.

Towards the end of your membership, we may contact you with the opportunity to renew and details of the membership options and pricing available at that time.

Renewal is not automatic or guaranteed. As The Sunday Story Collective is curated, continued membership remains subject to your business continuing to align with the Collective and Sunday Story’s wider editorial direction.

6. Your Collective profile

Every member receives a profile within The Sunday Story Collective in accordance with their chosen membership tier.

You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide is accurate and for letting us know about any significant changes during your membership.

Sunday Story retains editorial control over the curation, presentation, formatting and layout of Collective profiles so that we can maintain consistency across the directory.

We may make reasonable editorial changes to supplied copy while taking care to preserve its meaning and the character of your business.

7. Complimentary selected features

Depending on your membership tier, your membership may include a number of complimentary selected social and/or Journal features.

You are welcome to submit work for consideration throughout your membership.

A complimentary feature only counts towards the number included within your membership when your submission is selected for publication. Submissions that are not selected do not count towards your included features.

The number and type of complimentary selected features included within your membership are those stated for your chosen tier at the time of purchase.

Where your membership specifies a maximum number of Journal features within your complimentary selected features, that limit will apply.

8. Editorial selection

Membership does not guarantee publication of every submission.

All submitted work remains subject to Sunday Story’s editorial selection. We may consider factors including imagery, storytelling, relevance, originality and fit with the wider editorial direction of Sunday Story.

Sunday Story reserves editorial discretion over whether submitted work is selected and the format in which selected work is shared.

Maintaining editorial selection allows us to preserve the considered and curated nature of Sunday Story for our audience and Collective members.

9. Dedicated features

Feature and Editorial memberships include dedicated social features as described within the relevant membership tier.

Dedicated features are separate from complimentary selected features and will be planned by Sunday Story during your membership.

They may introduce you to the Sunday Story audience, showcase your work or share something new from your creative practice.

The timing, format, imagery, copy and publication schedule of dedicated features remain at Sunday Story’s editorial discretion.

10. Editorial Creative Profiles

Editorial membership includes a dedicated Creative Profile within the Sunday Story Journal.

Your Creative Profile will offer a more considered, in-depth exploration of you, your business and your creative practice and may be created using an interview or questionnaire provided by Sunday Story.

Your Creative Profile may also be shared and promoted across Sunday Story’s social platforms and newsletter.

Sunday Story retains editorial control over the final presentation while working thoughtfully to represent your work and story accurately.

11. Feature format and coverage

Social and Journal features are curated individually according to the work and story being shared.

Any references to image numbers, carousel length, Story coverage, article length or other feature formats are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise.

Sunday Story retains discretion over the final edit, imagery, layout, copy, platform and presentation of each feature.

This allows us to give each story the format and space we believe best suits the work being shared.

12. Images, content and permissions

When providing photography, video, written content or other materials to Sunday Story, you confirm that you have the necessary rights, licences or permissions to provide those materials to us for their intended use.

Materials provided specifically for your Collective profile may be used, reproduced, cropped, resized and formatted by Sunday Story for the creation and presentation of your profile within The Sunday Story Collective.

Where materials are selected or provided for a Journal, social media, newsletter or other editorial feature, you grant Sunday Story permission to use, reproduce, crop, resize, format and publish those materials in connection with that feature and its promotion across Sunday Story’s platforms.

Where relevant, you must provide accurate photographer and creative credits.

We will make reasonable efforts to credit creatives using the information provided to us.

13. Collaborations and credits

Where appropriate, Sunday Story may invite members or other relevant creatives to collaborate on social media posts and may tag or credit businesses involved in featured work.

Collaborator invitations, tags and individual credits are subject to editorial discretion and cannot be guaranteed for every business involved in a project.

14. Publication timing

Sunday Story does not guarantee specific publication dates unless expressly agreed in writing.

Features are scheduled according to our wider editorial calendar and may occasionally be moved, postponed or rescheduled.

We will aim to deliver included membership features during your membership term. However, where a feature has been selected, agreed or planned during your membership, publication may take place after your membership term has ended where reasonably necessary.

15. Results and performance

Membership is designed to provide visibility and opportunities for discovery through Sunday Story.

We cannot guarantee any particular level of website traffic, social reach, engagement, enquiries, bookings, sales or other commercial results arising from membership or publication.

Performance across social media, search engines and other third-party platforms may also be affected by algorithms and circumstances outside Sunday Story’s control.

16. Cancellation

Membership is purchased for a fixed 12-month term.

If you choose to end your participation before the end of your membership term, you will not normally be entitled to a refund for amounts already paid and, where you have chosen monthly instalments, the remaining instalments will continue to be payable.

If exceptional circumstances arise, please contact us and we may consider them on an individual basis.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights which cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Suspending or ending membership

We may suspend or end membership in circumstances including serious or repeated breach of these Membership Terms, persistent non-payment, unlawful activity connected with the membership, misuse of Sunday Story's name or platform, or conduct that we reasonably consider could materially harm Sunday Story, the Collective or its members.

Where reasonably appropriate, we will contact you first and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Any decision to suspend or end membership will be made reasonably and in good faith.

18. Changes to membership

Sunday Story will continue to develop over time. We may therefore make reasonable changes to membership processes, platforms, feature formats or the way particular benefits are delivered.

We will not intentionally make changes that materially reduce the overall value of your paid membership during its current term without good reason.

Where a significant change affects your membership, we will communicate this to you.

19. When your membership ends

When your membership ends, your active Collective directory profile may be removed from The Sunday Story Collective.

Editorial content and features already published may remain available within the Sunday Story Journal, website, social media channels, newsletters or editorial archive after your membership has ended.

Ending your membership does not automatically require previously published editorial content to be removed.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Membership Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

To the extent permitted by law, Sunday Story will not be responsible for indirect or consequential business losses arising from membership, including loss of anticipated revenue, profit, bookings or business opportunities.

21. Changes to these Membership Terms

We may update these Membership Terms from time to time.

The terms that apply to your membership will ordinarily be those in place when you purchase or renew your membership.

If we make a material change that affects an existing membership, we will let you know.

22. Governing law

These Membership Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from these Membership Terms.
